Welcome To The Journey!
Hi. My name is Larry. I’m the Pastor of The Journey, so let me be the first to say thank you for taking time to check us out. As with any new place we go or new thing we do, we tend to have questions. We want to know what to expect so we don’t encounter any unwanted surprises. It’s our hope that as you look around our site, many of these questions will be answered. We’ve tried to anticipate some of them, so click a link to your left or simply look around the site at your leisure. I sure hope we’ll meet you in person real soon.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear? We do not have a “dress requirement” or “code” to join us here at The Journey. We want you to come and enjoy worshipping the Lord Jesus with us. We feel that we should dress appropriately for the occasion of worshipping God. Some of our regular guests wear a suit or dress and others wear a bit more casual attire to Sunday Morning worship, but we want to leave that up to you.
How long do services last? Lengths for each service are different. Sunday Morning Bible Studies and Sunday School for the children is from 9 am to 9:45 am. We enjoy lite refreshments between services each Sunday morning. Morning Worship is approximately an hour and fifteen minutes long, from 10:15 am to 11:30 am. Our Thursday night services all start at the same time. AWANA for school age children up to 5th grade begins at 6:30 pm and ends at 8:15 pm. Youth Refuge & Adult Bible Studies begin at 6:30 pm pm and end by 8:00 pm.
Do I need a Bible? The short answer is, No. We project the verses on the screen as they are mentioned in the message in the version the pastor uses. We do however; encourage everyone to bring one if they have one. We want everyone to be able to see the verses in their copy of God’s Word. If you want to read along, but do not have your own Bible, we have several Bibles on the shelf directly below the chair in front of you. If you would like to have your own copy of God’s word and cannot afford to buy one, please see an usher. We would like to provide one for you.
Do you have a nursery or children’s church? The answer is yes to both. We have a wonderful nursery staffed with loving and responsible women and a room that is filled with fun for kids old enough to enjoy it. All nursery & children’s ministry workers are fully background checked and we have a number system to alert you if your nursery aged child needs your attention. Children’s Church is for ages 4 yrs. – 5th grade and is a lot of fun. Just like the nursery, we have a great team of adults prepared to teach God’s word in an exciting way. Songs, a message and fun & games keep them busy while you enjoy your own time worshipping the Lord.
What to Expect
It’s our hope that when you arrive on the property, you will be met with a warm greeting. It’s our desire to communicate God’s love with a warm handshake and a friendly smile to anyone who would come to join us. We hope the signs help you find your place with ease, but if you still need a little help, ask anyone to direct you. Each service time has something for everyone, including childcare for all services.
Once service begins, we enjoy a variety of songs, including hymns, praise choruses and several times a month, special music from our choir. Incorporated into our service is an opportunity meet those seated around you. Also included in our main services, is an opportunity to give as the Lord has blessed you. No service would be complete without an encouraging time in God’s word.

Child Care
We want every guest to enjoy their time with us, knowing that their little worshippers are receiving the best care. During every regularly scheduled service, you can count on trained, loving members of our church to watch over the children left in their care, All workers are fully background checked to add an extra level of protection.
