Taking the Next Step
Here at The Journey, we want to help people take the next step in their walk with God. Receiving the free gift of salvation is a great experience and blessing, but there’s more. Just like a baby is born into this world, a person who places faith is Jesus is born into a new life that has so much potential. As we discover new aspects of this new life, we grow. Just like each step on a journey gets us closer to our destination, each step we take as a Christian gets us closer to all that God has saved us to be. Have you taken a new step lately? New Believers
As a new believer, you probably have many questions about what all this means and what the Bible says about living life. That’s why we encourage you to find out more about our One to One Discipleship program and its soon to be added Discipleship 101 small group study. Both of these are 10-week study courses that take a new believer through the first steps of faith and what the Bible says about pleasing God. New classes start at various times throughout the year, so ask about the best option for you.
One-to-One Discipleship
A 10 week study that helps a new believer get a grip on studying the Bible. In this study, you will be paired with a study partner who has already completed the course and will guide you through it.
Discipleship 101
(Coming Soon)
The same as our One-to-One Discipleship, but in a small group setting. The projected study time would be Sundays at 9:00 am in the Life Center. The start date is yet to be determined.
Membership
Starting Point - Membership Class
Each quarter, we offer our membership classes, called "Starting Point". If you are preparing to become a member and would like to know more about The Journey, meet the Pastor, and see just how you might fit in here, this is the best place to begin. In this Sunday at 9 am class, you'll find out more about the Pastor’s heart for people and his vision for how The Journey can make a difference. If this interests you, see one of our pastors right away to find out when the next Starting Point Membership Series begins.
Emerging Leaders
Something new at The Journey is our Emerging Leaders class. Our goal is to help people who believe God may have something bigger in mind for them, to step out in the open. In this small group study, we’ll explore issues specific to being the lead in ministry, full time or volunteer. See Pastor Larry in person for more information.
Next Level
Maybe you aren’t exactly a new believer, but want to take things up a notch or two. Next Level is the study group for you. In this multi-week coarse, we’ll look at subjects like testimony, evangelism, and a Christ centered life, giving you the tools to share your faith in a compelling way and answer some of the tough questions people are asking. This course is in production right now, and we are looking for those interested in being the first to participate. If this interests you, call or email us today.
